Welcome to the new location for PostWatch.com. We are excited to
show off our new PostWatch.com services for 2000. We have rebuilt the
system literally from the ground up including rack, servers, and even
increased our Internet access. We tossed out the old static HTML
reports and replaced them with new dynamic HTML against live data in our SQL
2000 database. The old poller has also been replaced with a new
"smart poller". We have added new access to PostWatch.com
reports for your H/PC and PalmOS devices including the new QualComm wireless
Web access through Sprint.
What is PostWatch.com?
PostWatch.com is an Internet based monitoring service for Microsoft Exchange.
It works by sending probe messages (SMTP Ping Message) to a special ID on
our customer's Exchange servers. This probe is received by Exchange
and sent back to our poller where the round trip time is recorded in a SQL
database. We collect these probes and generate on-line response time reports. These reports have been very useful in determining average
response times, detecting outages, and helping our customers make sure Exchange
is performing as expected (meeting their published service levels). Simply said, we are making your eMail deliver.
PostWatch.com family of services
In addition to the simple on-line probing, PostWatch has evolved to
several levels of service. These services range from the simple
probing of your Exchange servers to complete remote management of your
Exchange servers through a VPN connection.
